Pear Butter

  • 4 -5  chopped pears
  • 1t chopped fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 squeeze of lemon
  • 1/4C sugar
  • 1T Farm fresh sage

In a large pot place chopped pears,sage, ginger, water and lemon juice. Bring to a boil and simmer for 25 minutes or until the pears are completely soft.

Smash mixture with a potato masher and discard any remaining  solids (seeds, stems, tough parts). Take the resulting  purée, and pour into a large pan. Add sugar and any desired additional spices.

Heat on medium  until the mixture is quite thick,  stirring occasionally to prevent the purée from sticking to the bottom of the pan and burning.

Pour into jars and chill before serving.

Cauliflower Rice

  • 1 Farm fresh cauliflower
  • 1 T Oil of choice (olive or butter recommended)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Cut the head of cauliflower into quarters and place in a food processor. Pulse the cauliflower until completely broken down. Mix in your spices and oil before serving raw.
